Right now we are looking for many female STEM mentors, speakers, panelists, businesses and organizations for our sessions and our fair. I have attached a Mentor Questionnaire. Help us WOW these young ladies to encourage them to GO FOR STEM. STEM GIRLS WILL SAVE THE WORLD :D !

Thank you so much for your interest in our STEM Sisters Conference. While our goal is to inspire 40 young women each year, we would love to create a community wide STEM Sister support network that will benefit all STEM women in the area too.

We will try to keep you updated as our schedule evolves, so that if we are presenting something that interests you, you can plug in as well.

Tentative hands-on activities will include: Nano Gold Synthesis, Polymers, DNA Fingerprinting and crime scene analysis, DNA Gel Electrophoresis, Blood Typing, Not a Drone, Hydraulic Build, Seismic waves build and liquid nitrogen ice cream. Other comparable suggestions will be entertained.

Our themes each day will include: Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Medical, Forensics, Cybersecurity, Coding, among other topics.

Our tentative schedule will be that the girls will attend 9am-4pm each day, Tuesday, June 4 through Friday, June 7.

9:30 First speaker

10:00 First Session: Hands on activity led by a speaker, mentor and staff- half the girls

On Thursday we are hoping to have a high school Class, College and Career Fair through and after lunch 12:00-1:30.

On Friday we would like to offer a lunch with mentors and mentees at 11:30-12:30.

Then we will have our keynote speaker, Jennifer Law, who has been a flight physician for NASA and most recently has been a lead physician on an Antarctica expedition. At 1:30 we will have a mentor/mentee interaction activity and then at 2:00 mentors and staff will assist making liquid nitrogen ice cream, followed by dessert and mixer. All mentor activities (including dessert) will be over by 3:30.
